  OUSV AGM and Speaker Dinner 2026

  Join us at our AGM, Dinner and a Fireside Chat on Wednesday 21 October at 645pm at the Kelvin Club with guest speaker Emeritus Professor John Dewar AO, Australian legal scholar and academic leader, former Vice-Chancellor of La Trobe University. The topic is What is Happening in Universities

  Networking and bar drinks: 6.45pm-7pm

  AGM: 7-7.30pm

  Dinner: 7.35pm following the AGM - includes a main meal, dessert and a glass of wine: $85pp

  Formalities close 9.15pm

  Our annual accounts, which include full details of income and expenses, will be presented and are otherwise available from the Treasurer at any time from any member who requests them. 

  All fully paid-up members:

  • are entitled to vote at the Society’s AGM
  • are eligible to nominate as a member of the Society’s committee 
  • will benefit from discounts on the cost of certain events
  • will receive discount on Oxford University Press (OUP) products.

  Call for Nominations

  In line with the OUSV Rules all members are entitled to nominate for a role on the committee. The OUSV Rules state that to be eligible for one of the Statutory Roles you must be a member of the general committee for a minimum of one year. Therefore, positions for the general committee only will be open. Expressions of interest to secretary.ousv@gmail.com by COB Friday 2 October. Once all nominations for the committee have been received a proxy form will be available if you are unable to attend the AGM but wish to register a vote.
